Danika found this as she was looking through her text messages with her late family members.
This is a screen shot from a conversation between Danika and her son's father. It is following their son's surgery to have plates and screws placed in his leg after a football injury in 2022.
Originally, the photo in the text messages was only of their child. Danika found this side-by-side edit since her family died - and was immediately intrigued.
Her child is pictured on the right.
She does not know the unidentified male on the left.
Why is he striking the exact same pose as her now deceased son?
Why is the photo on the left staged to resemble the one of Danika's son on the right?
Also, the placement of the photo does not follow the context of the messages.
Why does this photo look this way now, who edited it this way, and what was the reason for doing so?

Danika would like to know who this person is and why they were edited into a photo with her dead child.

This photo was posted as a profile picture on one of Danika's deceased family members social media accounts.
It is supposed to depict the four victims that comprised Danika's immediate family.
The person behind the little girl is supposed to be portraying Danika's son.
He also has a tattoo in the exact same place as the individual from the last picture...
Observe the hands and fingers of both persons pictured.
AI tends to struggle with these fine-detail areas.
What is this?
All of the images lessen in quality as you enlarge them.
Look at the length of the hands, the child's 'knuckles' and the placement and shaping of the 'fingers'.
None of this looks natural.
Not the same person.

A screenshot from a video made by the imposters. They only show this person (who is portraying Danika's son) from the side. That was enough for Danika to immediately call out the discrepancies.
Look at the ear, the nose, and the jawline.

Danika's son had the same strong jaw line she has.
His nose was straight, not rounded.
Her son was perfect to her in every way.
Danika spots the defects of the imposter effortlessly.
