The Chase
Danika was chased out of her hometown in North Carolina after encountering two of the four persons portraying her now deceased family members.
She saw the frauds in-person.
Extreme efforts were made to catch and silence her following those brief but horrifying interactions.
Trackers were found on her car.
Her airbags were disabled.
Seedy characters appeared everywhere.
Not long after fleeing the area, it became clear she would be unable to return home.
The widow had been communicating with her neighbors, who then began sending Danika direct threats.
Her front door handle had been tampered with and was never repaired by the apartment complex maintenance crew.
Disgusting products were being delivered to her front door and left to pile up.
She was unable to get to her actual family and son, who were clearly in danger.
Danika realized she would have to go to California to ethically and directly address the widow herself.
The chase followed her across the continental United States and then all up and down the Baja peninsula of Mexico.
It was quite the journey.
Across the USA
First Danika was chased within her hometown. Then in her previous hometown where she attended college and where her son was born. She was unable to return home and closely trailed as she made her way to California. Danika's family was killed just before she arrived in the Sunshine State.
Cryptic messaging flowed from her family members online accounts, then an eerie silence.
It was in the following days that the frauds made their official group debut.
Dani does Baja
Danika was then driven into Mexico after the widow sent out a literal dog-whistle (using the social media accounts of the recently murdered family members)
offering $1000 to anyone who could locate her.
There was nowhere left to run but across the border. The stalking didn't stop there. She was then hunted all throughout the Baja peninsula of Mexico.
Danika lovingly and jokingly refers to this leg of the chase as
'Day-cation', after her late son.
As of late July 2026, that dark bounty is still active.
Danika has already forwarded this, along with the original dog-whistle to authorities.
Nothing has been done to address the widow and her accomplices.
Danika has still had to deal with tremendous amounts of harassment.
Some accomplices even name-drop the widow as they are doing this.
Where is the justice?
