The Timeline

2014: Danika’s father’s cancer returns.
2015: Danika’s father leads her legal battle to get primary custody of her son in order to move the two to California. He plans to prepare Danika to take the reigns of the family business (a restaurant empire) following his passing.
Danika and her son move to California.
2016: Everyone is thriving. No major issues.
2017: The widow arrives. Shortly after, a problematic employee accuses Danika of sexual harassment and threatens to sue her father. Dani and her father decide she should temporarily step down until the situation blows over.
Danika decides to return with her son to North Carolina, so her son may have a relationship with his father. She is still due to assume leadership. The entire family will relocate together to the West Coast when the time comes to do so.
2018: A manager from the restaurant empire tells Danika about the hotel attack in which the widow’s ex-husband assaulted her father. Danika tells her sister.
The widow and Danika’s father marry that August.
2019: Danika goes to visit her father for Thanksgiving. He is very frail, and much sooner than initially projected.
*Danika's father changed his trust for the final time a week before this visit.
2020: The widow severs communication between Danika and her father. She becomes the primary voice to friends and family.
Danika's father passes in late 2020.
The widow mentions nothing to Danika about the plans for the business she had once discussed with her father.
2021: Danika’s father’s Celebration of Life is held in California. This is the one time the widow met Danika’s son.
The home Danika and her son share in North Carolina is almost broken into four times.
2022: Danika gets sober from alcohol in April after being wrongfully terminated from her promising restaurant job and having her name smeared across the industry.
She returns to exotic dancing out of necessity and has the single most lucrative season of her entire career.
Danika pays off her car and moves to the same town as her child’s father, new wife, and their daughter in December of 2022.
2023
May: Danika is almost killed when she and her two dogs are carbon monoxide poisoned during a work trip.
Danika struggles greatly following the poisoning; her family rushes to her aid.
Danika and her son's stepmother start investigating the trust document and are denied a new copy by the firm that initially handles the administration of the estate.
December: This was the last Christmas Danika and her family spent together.
2024
January: Danika is told by friends of her father that the trust must have been altered/changed. They had firsthand knowledge of what her father had wanted for her.
February: Organized Harassment increases surrounding Danika and her family.
August: The criminal activity physically moves in on Danika and her family.
Communication from the 'stepmom' gets very strange.
December: Danika’s son is abducted from her home.
2025
April: The family takes a strange trip to the Dominican Republic.
Communication is severed heavily between Danika, her child, and the rest of the family before the trip.
Following the trip, the communication becomes even more obscure. If there is any, it is very dark, cruel, and sinister.
July 1st: A pivitol discovery....
Chaos ensues. Corruption runs rampant.
Danika is driven out of the area.
The communication from her 'family' gets darker and more deranged.
Danika’s family and only child are killed in early August of 2025.
